Juvenile Decertification
Drs. Keaveney and Guay evaluate youth to determine if their case should remain in the adult criminal system or be transferred to the juvenile justice system. We examine factors such as cognitive, social, and psychological functioning, family and environmental influences, prior delinquency history, amenability to treatment and rehabilitation and risk for future offending.
What to Expect
The evaluation may be conducted in person or virtually as requested by the referral source. The evaluation typically includes a review of legal, educational, medical and mental health records, clinical interview, gathering collateral information, and when appropriate, psychological testing.
